Our Homebound Visitation Ministry has had to make some adjustments to the way we maintain our connections to the homebound congregation.
Since many are in nursing homes with no visitors allowed, we have beefed up our letters, cards, and phone calls to them. Many of these members do not use social media, so a hand-written card or a phone call makes a big difference. These folks love to hear from the church and feedback is that these cards and letters make a big difference.
Now that we all are somewhat “homebound” for a while, I would encourage you to stay in touch with each other the same way – cards, letters, and phone calls. And for those with social media, reach out to each other; let our members know how you are and how you are spending your days. Let’s all do what we can to stay connected.
If you would like to send a note to any of our Homebound members, please contact Kevin Banks at [email protected] and he can provide contact information.
